The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has detected 914 Saudization violations in the telecommunication sector in the first six days of Ramadan. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Fahd Al-Uwaidi said the ministry organized an inspection campaign during the first six days of Ramadan to ensure that all stores and companies in the telecommunication sector are following the ministry's decision to Saudize the sector by 50 percent by the end of Ramadan. "The inspectors visited 3,201 locations in various areas of the Kingdom. These include 696 establishments in the Eastern Province, 660 establishments in Riyadh, 436 in Qassim, 320 in Asir, 283 in Makkah and 277 in Madinah. The rest of the locations were in Hail, Tabuk, Baha, Jouf, Jazan and Northern Borders," said Al-Uwaidi. He said a total of 2,713 establishments have complied with the new decision. These include 615 establishments in the Eastern Province, 582 in Riyadh and 390 in Qassim. Of 914 violations detected during the inspections, 300 were in the Eastern Province and 164 in Riyadh," said Al-Uwaidi. He said the ministry aims to create more and more work opportunities for Saudis to enable them to build stable careers and have consistent income. "The ministry will continue its inspection campaigns and violating businesses will be penalized accordingly," said Al-Uwaidi.
