In line with the spirit of sharing and contribution during the holy month of Ramadan, SEDCO Holding Group has signed an agreement with Al-Birr Society in Jeddah to take on voluntary initiatives engaging SEDCO's employees. The agreement entails a number of voluntary initiatives such as distributing Ramadan baskets, visiting and supporting orphans, "Iftar Sayem" food distribution among the less fortunate. It is part of the Group's philosophy to instill the culture of volunteering and the values of benevolent actions in the community. The Group adopted this approach with its employees and encouraged them to give a helping hand through a number of initiatives and voluntary programs that fall under its three main CSR pillars "Our Community – Our People – Our Environment". The inception of this idea was expressed during the SEDCO Football Cup where the teams' diversified activities reached orphanages, patients, mosques and needy families in partnership with the responsible party. These initiatives were the fruits of SEDCO Holding Group's efforts and commitment to encourage voluntary work, and were translated in the employees' KPIs to ensure that the best outcome can be obtained. The Group is keen on providing the best results and has divided its "Volunteer Your Skills" program into three phases. The first phase involved raising awareness on the need for volunteerism among its employees and the second phase entailed the launch of the initiatives. The third phase will introduce the "Pro Bono" initiative where employees get to utilize their skills in their own areas of expertise and preferred practices across a certain timeline. Highlighting the Group's efforts under this initiative, Anees Ahmed Moumina, CEO of SEDCO Holding Group, said: "These initiatives are a reflection of the Group's social commitment to extend the culture of volunteering across all our operating companies. We aim to strengthen this concept and the bonds of communication among all employees in the Group. It is imperative that we contribute to the society we live in and showcase the spirit of unity by helping the community and sustaining its welfare across all sectors." He added: "Volunteer Your Skills is an initiative that aims to activate the spirit of volunteering among employees using their skillsets and expertise, and build connections with the designated parties and NGOs to serve the local community. The Group seeks to benefit from its young energy and cultivate its employees through fostering close ties and proactive activities for the health of the local environment." — SG
