SAUDI Academy of Civil Aviation President Fahad Alharbi discussed with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) inspector the licensing mechanism of Aviation Security Training Center at ICAO. The meeting was held during a visit by the ICAO inspector to the Academy, during which he was briefed on the Academy plans relating to Aviation security and training plans and the instructors involved. Alharbi said that the ICAO inspector visit to the academy headquarters focused on the licensing status of the training center at the organization. The inspector also visited the simulations laboratory that are based on modern training techniques used in the academic process. He went on to say that the aviation security center, which is licensed by the ICAO, is a reflection of the hard work that the academy has exerted over the past few years and produced qualified graduates to help support various airport around the Kingdom. The center concentrates on the latest internationally recommended security methods that ensure the security of passengers, goods and personnel working at the airport form any acts of unlawful interference. "Exceptional Customer Service" Seminar held in Abha Airport Abha Airport concluded the second session of the "Exceptional Customer Service" seminar, which was recently held in Khamis Mushait with the participation of many of the different department working at the airport, in addition to ground services companies and local airliners. Fahad Aladwani, director general of southern region airports, attended the seminar. The seminar discussed the most prominent elements of standards upgrading and the development of methods used while dealing with airports customers. The instructor gave a systematic set of principles and rules used to build a culture of customer service understanding and a road map to implement it effectively suitable for all parties involved at any given airport. Aladwani explained that organizing such a seminar was designed to improve and increase the efficiency of services provided at the airport. "This is done by optimizing and increasing the efficiency of airport staff to achieve outstanding performance and provide superior services to the traveling public," he said.
