A preliminary selection trials for Indian football players residing in Saudi Arabia will be conducted at 6.00 a.m. on on June 4 (Saturday) at the Dunk Ground, near Ikea Store on Tahlia Street. Sixteen players will be selected from the trials and will be eligible to take part in the final selection trials in India in August to pick the national team for the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Football Championship in India. The trials are being organized by United Tellicherry Sports Club (UTSC), in association with Geepas as part of the overseas scouting program of All India Football Federation (AIFF) through its AIFF Middle East coordinator Shanavas. The selection committee will be led by renowned soccer player and coach, PR Saleem. Interested players born on and after 01.01.2000, who are residing in Saudi Arabia, are requested to report at Dunk Ground at 6.00 a.m. on June 4 with passport or Iqama for age verification.
