Okaz/Saudi Gazette RIYADH — The trial of two terror suspects at the Criminal Court in Riyadh has revealed that members of Daesh (the so-called IS) and Al-Qaeda put on fake smiles in their mock deaths to lure young men that they depart this world easily as "martyrs." Terrorists — especially those belonging to Daesh — make videos of their fake death for circulation on social media. According to court sources, Daesh members do this deliberately to mislead the young that they die easily as "martyrs". The court on Sunday sentenced a Saudi citizen to nine years imprisonment and another to 12 years after they were both found guilty of belonging to Daesh. They were both banned from traveling outside for a similar period after serving their jail sentences. The first one was found guilty of preparing to travel to Syria to join his cousin who is fighting for Daesh, receiving money to do this and covering up a camp where terrorists gather to entice young men to join their outfit. The second was convicted of supporting both Daesh and Al-Qaeda, re-tweeting tweets from terrorists on his personal account and covering up a number of terrorists in the Kingdom. He was also condemned for producing a video film showing him smiling in his fake death. Phone numbers of some Daesh members in Yemen were found stored in his phone set.
