The Consulate General of Pakistan opened a new attestation hall during a ceremony here on Monday. The new facility provides more seating capacity for the convenience of a large number of expat community members who require attestation services. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and Ambassador of Pakistan to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Manzoor ul Haq jointly inaugurated the new facility. A large number of guests attended the event, including members of diverse and vibrant Pakistani diaspora in the western region of the Kingdom. In his inaugural remarks, Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq said that overseas Pakistanis are the backbone of the country and have been contributing a lot to the economy. They deserve better services and facilities, which the government is obliged to provide. He added that the newly constructed hall would create more space in the consulate for catering to the need of a large number of applicants on a daily basis. He lauded the staff of the consulate for their efforts in improving working conditions and providing better services to the community members who deserve the best. Consul General of Pakistan to Jeddah, Shehryar Akbar Khan highlighted the services provided to members of the Pakistani community residing in the western region of the Kingdom. Consul General further stated that over 2,200 people visit the consulate for consular and other services daily as Jeddah has the largest concentration of Pakistani expatriates in the Kingdom. KPK Governor Zafar Iqbal Jhagra, in his keynote address, praised the diverse and vibrant Pakistani community in Jeddah. He also praised the efforts made by the new consul general in bringing about a sea change in the working of the consulate and for extending the level of services being provided to the Pakistani community.
