Thai cuisine, a globally popular food with its unique characteristics and rich of flavors, hits at the 2nd Thai Halal Food Festival at six LuLu Hypermarkets in KSA, on May 5-14, 2016, initiated by the Royal Thai Embassy and LuLu Hypermarket. A huge variety of Thai quality food products and ingredients directly imported from Thailand has showcased for both local importers and regular shoppers who enjoy healthy food like Thai cuisine. Danai Menabhodi, Charge d'Affaire of Thailand, inaugurated the Festival at LuLu Saudi Hypermarket, Murabba branch on May 5. Local officials, diplomatic corps and businessmen participate in this auspicious fair along with Thai food's lovers who can taste some famous dishes like Phad Thai (Thai Stir-fried Noodle) and Som Tum (Papaya Salad). The Festival will also be hosted at all LuLu Hypermarkets throughout the Kingdom. Royal Thai Embassy and Consulate-General both in Riyadh and Jeddah respectively, in cooperation with Thai Trade Center in Jeddah, has put a lot of energy and resources into promoting Thailand as a "Kitchen of the World" among Saudis friends and foreigners in the Kingdom.
