RIYADH — The Council of Ministers approved on Monday a plan laying out reform priorities for the next decade and a half. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman announced the approval for the "Vision 2030" plan in a special Cabinet session in which he called on Saudis to work together to ensure its success. "Since I was honored to ascend the throne I have been seeking comprehensive development based on our religious fundamentals," the King said. "We plan to achieve a better future for the country and its people by utilizing our country's capabilities and potential and benefiting from its location and resources. "So we directed the Council of Economic Affairs and Development to set the Kingdom's economic and development vision to achieve and hopefully to make our country a model for the world. "We were briefed on the Kingdom's vision submitted by the Council of Economic Affairs and Development and approved by the Cabinet. "We express our thanks to the Council for its efforts in this regard, hoping that our sons and daughters, male and female citizens work together to achieve this ambitious vision. "We pray to Allah Almighty for success and that the vision be of goodness and blessing to achieve progress and prosperity for our dear homeland," King Salman concluded.
