Three-day telecom exhibition in Riyadh
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 11 - 01 - 2012

day telecom exhibition named TELSA organized jointly by National Exhibitions Company and Informa Saudi Arabia will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh from Jan. 29-31, a press statement of National Exhibitions Company said here today.
The event under the patronage of Eng. Mohamed Jamil Bin Ahmed Mulla, Minister of Communications and Information Technology includes exhibition, workshops and a series of conferences.
Speaking at the prospectus of the event, Deep Marwaha, General Manager of Informa Saudi Arabia said: “TELSA will draw on an extensive network of business leaders, telecoms and ICT professionals and government agencies throughout Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and a host of global players.”
He said Saudi Arabia is, by far, the largest telecoms market in the GCC accounting for 66 percent of total mobile subscribers, 59 percent of total fixed line connections and 58 percent of total internet users. Compared to its regional counterparts, the Kingdom's regulatory framework has enabled an increasingly competitive environment, attracting major players from around the GCC.
Telsa is expected to bring together local, regional and international key players from the private and public sector to give insights on the future of the Saudi Telecoms and ICT segment, which makes the event an ideal networking opportunity and paves the way for investment opportunities.
Companies like Mobily, Ericsson, LCC, Integrated Telecom would participate in the event besides the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and a host of other exhibitors and partners.
The Saudi Telecoms and ICT Summit at TELSA will be held alongside the exhibition. The summit will focus on the challenges of the Saudi Telecoms and ICT industry by shedding light on the latest market developments such as broadband penetration. The summit will feature some of the foremost minds in Telecommunications and will be attended by over 200 senior-level decision-makers from across the industry.
