FOLLOWING through its strategy to set the standards in the AC sector in the Kingdom, and under Al Salem Johnson Controls' arm, a pioneer provider of integrated HVAC solutions and equipment, YORK organized a workshop for its Authorized Dealers' Technicians in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar and Al-Hasa. The workshop, which was attended by 108 technicians, was held to strengthen and improve after-sales services and ensure that the highest standards are met through the provision of training sessions for professionals and technicians. Dr. Mohanad Alshaikh, CEO of Al Salem Johnson Controls, stressed on the importance of this workshop and said: "The company occupies a leading position in the HVAC industry in the Kingdom as it provides solutions that entail high-caliber cooler units, of which some are manufactured at the company's factory in Jeddah. Other products are also being supplied from YORK factories in the United States and other countries. This environment and industry requires intensifying the training programs for technicians, especially under the strong partnership between the company and its authorized dealers. Al Salem Johnson Controls' expansion strategy calls for such training programs to develop the hands-on experience in this field and develop the services and units delivered to our customers." The workshops held under the supervision of the YORK team have proven to be very rewarding. The training sessions have helped raise awareness on the importance of the R410A refrigerants' safety handling, and the best installation procedures for split units/air conditioners in general, and in particular the ICEBERG split unit. In addition to developing the skills and potential of the technicians during training, the workshops addressed fundamental guidelines for offering the best in quality service, namely right piping installations, unit transportation techniques, and proper use of equipment and tools.
