Al Salem Johnson Controls upholds 40% energy savings
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 03 - 2016

IN line with its continuous efforts to sustain efficient energy consumptions, Al Salem Johnson Controls, a pioneer provider of integrated HVAC solutions and equipment, partnered with SAMACO, the exclusive agent of Volkswagen and Audi cars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to apply smart solutions at SAMACO's showrooms, in an endeavor to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
Al Salem Johnson Controls enhances the increase in rates of energy efficiency through the development of smart solutions with competitive prices, which will pave the way to reduce the average annual consumption of energy and carbon emissions by 20%-40%. Consequently, this will result in a pre-calculated payback of an average of 16 - 18 months.
Dr. Mohanad Alshaikh, CEO of Al Salem Johnson Controls, said: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now witnessing an increase in energy prices. This has called for smart and efficient solutions to rise atop the market fluctuations and provide an upsurge in efficient energy consumptions, by means of smart and effective controls for energy - consuming equipment. On that note, air conditioning and ventilation products are the basis of such examples."
"We have already started implementing these solutions with SAMACO and we are proud of this collaboration. SAMACO is a reliable local car agent and a leading eco-friendly company in Saudi Arabia." He then added. "We look forward toward this collaboration as we aim to achieve sustainable development. The action plan includes the implementation of these applications in 5 showrooms and service centers, and we expect reducing energy consumption by 20%-40%. Our customers will have full access to these applications for smart monitoring purposes and for significant limitations of energy consumptions and carbon emissions. These smart solutions are suitably fit for all residential units and villas, showrooms, banks and retail stores."
Engineer Mohamad Yamani, General Manager of Engineering and Operations at SAMACO, said: "The first challenge we faced was to limit energy consumption and reduce the levels of carbon dioxide emissions. We found in Al Salem Johnson Controls the solution with the use of smart control systems. Our collaboration is based on solid trust as we aim to create a sustainable environment to become a pioneer eco-friendly company with the use of smart solutions."
This technology will be responsible for all of HVAC equipment and external lighting controls, in terms of scheduling and monitoring, based on working hours and external climate, in order to provide maximum comfort with the least energy consumption.
Smart control solutions will also include monitoring other equipment such as generators and fire alarms by means of email notification for a quicker and safer response. Moreover, an attractive touchscreen interface is introduced to simplify the control and energy monitoring through a well-designed energy dashboard screen. It will also enable the user to access his devices anywhere in the local network through the secured remote access by the computer, laptop, or smart device.
Al Salem Johnson Controls is distinguished by its unique ability to provide its customers with equipment like air conditioning systems, fire, security and surveillance integrated solutions and management controls that ensure appropriate solutions to save energy and build a green, sustainable environment.
