Andy Murray warmed up for the Australian Open with a commanding 6-1, 6-3 win over third-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov Sunday to claim the Brisbane International title. The No. 4-ranked Murray raced through the first set in 26 minutes — he didn't lose a point on his own serve until the last game, when the Ukrainian twice had breakpoint chances but was unable to convert. Murray won nine straight games from 1-1 in the first to take the match away from Dolgopolov, who rallied briefly by winning three in a row — including his only break against the Scot to get the second set back to 4-3. The 23-year-old Dolgopolov moved up to a year-end No. 15 ranking in 2011 and aiming for his second ATP title, but was never in contention in the final. He has now lost all three matches against Murray, including the Australian Open quarterfinals last year. For the second consecutive match, Murray had Ivan Lendl watching from courtside. Aiming to break a drought for British men at the majors dating back to 1936, Murray hired the eight-time Grand Slam tournament winner as coach earlier this month and the pair met up Saturday in Brisbane. Zheng Jie wins Auckland Unseeded Zheng Jie claimed her fourth career singles title and her first since 2006 when Flavia Pennetta was forced to retire injured in the third set of the final of the ASB Classic. The 28-year-old Zheng was leading 2-6, 6-3, 2-0 Sunday when fourth-seeded Pennetta, who required courtside treatment to a back injury, indicated she was unable to continue. It was Zheng's first title since 2006 at Estoril and the Chinese now has four titles from six final appearances. Ivanovic loses in Sydney Ana Ivanovic's preparations for next week's Australian Open hit another obstacle when the former No. 1 and 2008 French Open champion was beaten 7-6 (5), 6-2 by Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic Sunday. Ivanovic was defeated in the second round of last week's Brisbane International by Kim Clijsters, meaning the Serb player will have had just three tournament matches going into the year's first Grand Slam at Melbourne Park beginning Jan. 16. Former Australian Open quarterfinalist and top 10 player Jelena Dokic beat fellow Australian Isabella Holland 6-0, 6-0. The only other first-round match Sunday was suspended by rain in the third set with Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia up a service break and leading China's Peng Shuai 6-2, 4-6, 4-3. Top-seeded Juan Martin del Potro and the three other top men's seeds also have first-round byes. There were no men's singles matches played Sunday. Raonic wins in Chennai Big-serving Canadian Milos Raonic edged out Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 in a nerve-jangling Chennai Open final Sunday to win his second ATP title. Raonic, ranked No. 31, needed three hours and 14 minutes to beat top seed Tipsarevic in the first meeting between the two players. The 1.96m tall Raonic, who was named ATP's newcomer of 2011, lost his first set in the tournament after surrendering the first set tiebreak 7-4. But the fourth seed rallied back to win the next two sets to pocket $71,900. Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia and Leander Paes of India beat Andy Ram and Jonathan Erlich of Israel 6-4, 6-4 to win the doubles' title.
