JEDDAH — Rain and thundershowers are expected in Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, Riyadh, the Eastern Province and Najran provinces on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Presidency of Meteorology and the Environment (PME) said on Friday. The rainfall will be moderate to heavy in the highlands, the report was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying. The presidency urged citizens and residents to take precautions in such weather conditions. It also called on the public to follow the weather reports and warnings it issues. Meanwhile, Asir Emir Prince Faisal Bin Khaled has directed all government administrations in Bisha governorate to provide urgent aid including basic food supplies to the families stranded by rain and floods in the villages east of Taraj Valley. The aid will be distributed by land teams and committees. The affected villages include Al-Mahalah, Al-Maniiyah, Jalan, Al Roumi, Al-Juwah, Al-Ghafrat, Mreikh, Al-Ashrah, Al-Masma', Al-Najd and Al-Rass.
