JEDDAH – The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) has warned that heavy rainfall is likely to continue in various regions of the Kingdom, especially the southwestern highlands extending from Asir to Taif. PME spokesman Hussein Al-Qahtani said the Riyadh region, especially the southwestern parts, and Qassim region, are also likely to receive medium to heavy rainfall. Thundershowers will be accompanied by strong winds and poor visibility, Al-Qahtani said, and advised everyone to take necessary precautions against floods, especially in the southern regions. The weather change that will continue until Saturday may also affect Najran, Bisha, Madinah and Tabuk regions as well as the coastal strip of Makkah region. — SG/SPA
