kicked off last month for both men and women and after passing through various processes and proper measurements, the women winners were announced last week. In February the women section of the Healthy Lifestyle challenge started with about 70 participants. Measurements were taken at two venues-- Carlton Al-Moaibed, and Studio55. Since then, participants have been working hard towards a healthier lifestyle through proper diet and exercise. According to Salma Al-Heraiqi of Healthy Lifestyle Project the winners are: n For the Carlton Health Club batch, Reem Mohammedbagged first prize and is awarded a one month free membership at Carlton Al-Moaibed. She said the Studio55 batch has 3 winners with 3 different prizes: 1st place went to Sherifa Alghamdi, who will get one month free subscription at Studio55 2nd place went to Hanan Aldulaijan who gets 15 free sessions at Studio55 Sara Alhamidi bagged third spot and awarded 5 free sessions Winners for men section will be announced this week. Salma said the her Healthy Lifestyle project was preparing for the a 30-day challenge at Al-Khozama International School in Dammam on,April 2, where 50 girls in 14-16 age group accompanied by their mothers will attend an informative program with a workshop on fitness by Studio55 and another workshop on nutrition by Carlton Nutrition Center. In additionthe session will also offer tips on healthy snacks and diabetes. At the end of the program, the students will be measured and will actively participate in the 30-Day Challenge as part of the school program. The Healthy Lifestyle Project is associated with the Global Shapers Community which is a network of city-based Hubs developed and led by young leaders between 20 and 30 years old who want to develop their leadership potential towards serving society. To that end, Hubs undertake local projects to improve their communities. The current activites are aimed at this direction. Shapers are highly motivated individuals who have a great potential for future leadership roles in society. They are selected on the basis of their achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to make a difference.
