JEDDAH — Pakistan Christian Welfare Forum (PCWF) celebrated the Easter festival with immense vigor and magnificence at Consulate General of PakistanJeddah premises on Saturday. Shoib Mubarak, vice consul and acting press consul at the Consulate, presided over the gathering. Easter is one of the most significant festivals in the Christian calendar and marks the beginning of the spring season. In his brief address Mubarak passed on good wishes of Easter to the Pakistani Christian community and assured them the cooperation and support of Consul General Shehryar Akber Khan and consulate general in all consular services. He stressed on the unity and respect of local laws and regulations among the compatriots. Earlier Parvez Yousef Masih, president PCWF welcomed all guests and thanked the participants. He paid tributes to Sylvester Gohar, founder chairman of PCWF, for his devoted services to the Christian community in Jeddah. Gohar is leaving for good after a long stay in the Kingdom. Masih thanked to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince and Deputy Crown Prince and government of Saudi Arabia for its noble policies and job opportunities for Pakistani expatriates. He also thanked the consul general and consulate for providing facilities in the premises. Gohar thanked PCWF and enchanted the attendees with some of his patriotic poetry. He was given a commemorative shield and a gift as token of appreciation.
