The North Indian Fraternity Forum (NIFF) Jeddah hosted a farewell party for the outgoing Consul General of India Bawa Syed Mubarak. The program started with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an followed by welcome speech by NIFF President Fuzail Ahmad, who lauded the two stints by Mubarak in Jeddah — first as Consul Haj and next as the Consul General — as memorable. He also highlighted his services to the community and his open door policy to all community members. Fuzail concluded his speech with a fervent wish that after his time in Delhi, Mubarak would find his way back to the Mideast region again. A short documentary showcased the work and personal life of Mubarak. In his speech, Mubarak appreciated NIFF and its contribution toward social causes. He shared his experiences during his tenure in Jeddah and expressed that community organizations are important and play a vital role by supporting the consulate in helping the large and vibrant Indian community. A memento and a special card signed by all members was presented to him. Several consuls and HOC attended the event with representatives from different other community organizations. NIFF wished Mubarak happy adventures, fantastic new friendships, amazing experience and the journey of lifetime.
