The Civil Defense hauled out a body from a well on Sunday. Riyadh Civil Defense spokesman Capt. Mohammad Al-Hammady said acting on a report that a man has gone missing, its personnel searched for the man for 22 hours until they found his body inside a well in Al-Khabi Village south of Al-Kharj. The well had a diameter of 12 inches and was more than 150 meters deep. The body was only 50 meters deep into the well. The Civil Defense hauled the body out after several attempts. SFDA withdraws dangerous drug ABHA — The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has withdrawn a drug from all hospitals due to its poor production quality. The authority reported some errors in the production and distribution of Metronidazole drug. Its color changed and the description on its package does not match the qualities the producing company attributes to it. The authority contacted the company as a result of an inspection campaign and demanded it to withdraw the drug. The company complied and the drug is now off the shelves in hospitals and medical research centers. Fire in Jeddah Garbage container JEDDAH — The Civil Defense personnel extinguished a fire that broke out in garbage containers. Makkah Civil Defense spokesman Col. Saeed Sarhan said acting on a report the Civil Defense personnel quickly put out the fire in a garbage container. There were no injuries recorded. Saudi shot with unlicensed gun JEDDAH — A Saudi was shot by an Arab expatriate in Al-Eskan district south of Jeddah. Makkah Police spokesman Col. Ati Al-Qurashi said the victim was 36 year-old. A police patrol found out out that the suspect was carrying a gun of another Saudi. The gun was unlicensed. The police arrested the man, the shooter and the victim because it was established that they all were in inebriated condition when the incident happened. Heavy rains cause 12 road accidents QURAYYAT, JOUF — Heavy rains were attributed as the cause of 12 road accidents. Jouf Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Gen. Muaish Al-Ruwaili said the extreme and unstable weather condition in Qurayyat Governorate caused the streets to be flooded. There were 12 road accidents involving pedestrians. The injured victims suffered from mild injuries. Two families were evacuated from after ceiling of their homes began to collapse due to the heavy rain. The families were taken from Al-Esawiyah neighborhood to furnished apartments. The Civil Defense also saved a family struck in the middle of the road near Ain Al-Hawwas neighborhood.
