MORE than 275 employees from Otis, the world's largest manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products, and UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a leading provider of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, building controls and automation, and fire and security systems, have moved to a new 3,600 square meter state-of-the-art facility in the Zahran Business Center of Jeddah. Otis, which operates as Otis Elevators Company Saudi Arabia, and UTC Climate, Controls & Security, which operates through Arabian Air conditioning Company and Carrier Saudi Service Company, joint ventures between United Technologies and E.A. Juffali & Brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are both units of United Technologies Corp (NYSE:UTX). "The new office will enable communication, teamwork and customer service synergies among our businesses and brands. By housing our teams under one roof, we can enhance shared services and the quality of back office support," said Nader Antar, managing director, Otis and UTC Climate, Controls & Security, Saudi Arabia. The new office also provides an opportunity to showcase UTC's innovative technologies. The office in Jeddah includes demo rooms for products from Otis and UTC Climate, Controls & Security brands such as Automated Logic, Edwards and Lenel. The demo rooms are fitted with integrated solutions to showcase UTC's products. The building itself also is outfitted with Otis elevators, Carrier fan coil units and Edwards fire and detection alarm systems. UTC is planning to inaugurate two other offices in the Kingdom later in 2016. Both will similarly house UTC business units and brands.
