Carrier remains committed to sustainability and energy efficiency
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 01 - 2016

Carrier, the world's leader in high technology heating, ventilating, air conditioning & refrigeration (HVACR) solutions, served as platinum sponsor of the recently concluded HVACR Expo Saudi 2016 held in Jeddah. Carrier, which operates in Saudi Arabia through Arabian Air Conditioning Company and Carrier Saudi Service Company, its joint venture companies with E.A.
Juffali & Brothers, is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The exhibition and conference is the biggest of its kind in Saudi Arabia and attracted thousands of visitors over three days. The exhibition was dedicated to highlighting residential and industrial air-conditioning innovations by some of the world's leading manufacturers.
"We are proud to have served as platinum sponsors of this event dedicated to the experts of the HVACR industry in Saudi Arabia," said Nader Antar, managing director, Otis & UTC Climate, Controls & Security, Saudi Arabia. "Carrier's portfolio of products, which were showcased at the event, exemplify our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency."
At the event, Carrier showcased its portfolio of products including a new line of energy-efficient residential and light commercial HVAC systems that use the environmentally balanced refrigerant, Puron. Carrier also exhibited its high-efficiency ductless split indoor and outdoor solutions, which are fully compliant with the new Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) regulations and offer reduced energy consumption and improved performance, as well as commercial refrigeration coolers and condensing units, commercial district cooling fan coil units and ducted split low height fan coil units. The Carrier team promoted the AquaEdge 19XR/XRV chiller, a state-of-the-art centrifugal chiller which operates in wide range of capacities (200-3,000 tons) utilizing a single semi-hermetic compressor with a positive pressure R134a non-ozone depleting refrigerant. Carrier also offers a full range of aftermarket sales and service offerings, factory authorized parts and allied products.
Carrier experts presented key technologies through multiple presentation sessions at the event conference. Some of the topics covered included: the reduced power consumption of Carrier's water-cooled chiller systems by up to 50 percent in comparison to other technological solutions; the longer equipment lifetime, due to less system contamination; and achieving significant energy savings through the application of evaporative cooling technologies and water-cooled chiller systems. Additionally, Carrier experts presented smart building solutions to create a building that is safer, more comfortable and productive for its occupants and more operationally efficient for its owners through intelligent building technologies and advanced energy simulation techniques that are used by the US Green Building Council for LEED accreditation.
"We play an active role in the Saudi green building segment and are committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable innovation," said Nader. "Our new products are the latest in a series of energy-efficiency developments designed specifically for Saudi Arabia."
