Rabeah, Minister of Commerce and Industry, said the Saudi-Indian Joint Committee's meeting here at the weekend was successful. The minister was speaking at a dinner in his honor hosted by Dr. Saud Bin Mohammed Al-Satti, Saudi Ambassador to India. Dr. Al-Rabeah led the country's high-powered delegation to the meeting. He highlighted the outcome of the meeting and hailed the participation of all government sectors which made the ninth session of the Saudi-Indian Joint Committee a success. The minister praised the role of the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information which participated in discussions and talks with the Indian side. Earlier, the minister said trade between Saudi Arabia and India was more than SR87 million in 2010, a five-fold increase from the year 2000. The minister added that there are about 231 Indian companies working in Saudi Arabia, with a combined capital of one billion dollars.
