Kevin Klein had the first two-goal game of his 11-year NHL career, scoring the tiebreaking goal with 6:41 to play in the New York Rangers' 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks Wednesday night. Klein also scored the tying goal in the second period for the Rangers, who opened their three-game California road trip with their second win in five games overall. The veteran defenseman played 555 regular-season games with Nashville and New York and 67 playoff games before his first two-goal performance. Antti Raanta made 22 saves in the Rangers' second victory over Anaheim this season. Jamie McGinn scored and John Gibson stopped 21 shots for the Ducks, who have lost four of five in their first poor stretch since Christmas. The Ducks lost in regulation at home for the first time since Jan. 17, ending a 10-game points streak at Honda Center. New York's Ryan McDonagh appeared to get hit in the face by an Anaheim shot at the final buzzer, leaving the forward down on the ice in pain. McDonagh eventually got up and skated off. Marian Hossa and Jonathan Toews scored for the Blackhawks, who squandered a pair of leads. Chicago dropped to 0-3-1 in its past four games. Philadelphia goaltender Michal Neuvirth turned aside 24 of 26 while Chicago goaltender Scott Darling stopped 26 of 29 shots in the loss. Zach Bogosian and Marcus Foligno scored for the Sabres. Robin Lehner made 19 saves. Oilers 6, Blues 4 St. Louis fell behind by three goals after two periods in an eventual loss to Edmonton. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Mark Letestu each scored twice for the Oilers, while Taylor Hall and Leon Draisaitl also scored. Edmonton scored four power-play goals on the night. David Backes scored twice, and Patrik Berglund and Jaden Schwartz scored for the Blues. Cam Talbot made 24 saves in the win while Jake Allen stopped 21 of the 26 shots he faced in the losing effort for St. Louis.
