LG leads the UHD viewing experience to a whole new fresh level with its second-to-none M+ (RGBW) technology that adds white color sub pixels to the color filter of a conventional RGB LCD panel to create a fabulous image; hence M+ technology is a giant leap forward in display advanced technology. Commenting on the LG's new advancement, Eddie Jun, President of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, said: "M+ (RGBW) know-how is the revolution of TV's brighter experience, it opens up the future that all the consumers want to enjoy. LG has been given the honor of delivering this high distinction, by delivering the only technology that overcomes the limitations of conventional displays because it offers enhanced reality combined with dynamic form. This technology provides superior light and color expression because it is based on solid innovations to enhance people's lives". "Made in Korea" ensures the reliability of this technology and product. RGBW applies 4 different blends including the RGB, WRG, BWR and GBW. TVs which are equipped with the LG's RGBW know-how have improved brightness and energy effectiveness. On the other hand, some of the other brands still using traditional RGB panel which has a smaller aperture ratio due to the colored pixels that only it owns. RGBW technology instead has extra white pixels, which means more brightness and vividness. More importantly LG's RGBW-enabled UHD TVs are able to produce up to 50% more brightness compared to the conventional RGB screen in addition to up to 37% extra capability. Salman Alsabban, Corporate Marketing Manager, said "with RGBW technology Saudi consumers can enjoy clear UHD resolution without any image's damage due to the great closeness between each pixel and the sub-pixel. The RGBW technology satisfies 3 basic elements of the 4K standard: resolution, color and 4K up-caling. It delivers the similar image superiority compared to the RGB 4K when uprising the whole HD content to the resolutions of the 4K. LG's RGBW also goes in parallel with the principles of the Display Measurement Standard's criteria concerning the 4K resolution." The construction of the new pixel displays the ability of RGBW to convey clearer picture, and at the same time it saves more energy. Remember LG's UHD TV is "Made in Korea".
