Jeddah Titans, Knights and Movenpick Resort advance

Jeddah Titans of Harry Penaranda beat Llamados 98-67 in the 2016 Titan Watch-JBL Basketball Tournament here in Khalidia basketball court here. The winner executed its offense well in the game, while the loser committed crucial errors in the final quarter. Labio top scored with 20 points for the winner and was adjudged the Titan Watch Best Player. Taguba chipped in with 19 points for the loser.
This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al-Hussaini & Al-Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Hussaini). The cosponsors are Al-Aziziyah Islamic Center (Sheikh Ahmad and Sheikh Ali Ajlani), Mandhoubiyah Islamic Propagation Office, Jeddah Dawah Center, Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah) and Ric Santos Printing.
VICCM of Dennis Elmenzo defeated Malmons 118-79. Carbonel scored 38 points for the winner and was named the Giordano Fashions Best Player. Camposano led the loser with 20 points.
Movenpick Resort of Jeoffrey Barbudo prevailed over NRF 117-109. The winner maintained supremacy in the offense. Romano poured in 45 points for the winner and was selected as the JBL Best Player, while Idio had 34 points for the loser.
On Friday, Gensoul Lion of coach Glenn Musngi beat Gensoul Eagle 101-68 in the 40 and above division. Bong Umlas top scored with 36 points and was adjudged the Titan Watch Best Player. Jayjay Hernandez also contributed 25 points for the winner, while Joel Silvestre made 24 for the loser.
Knights of coach Rey Maddatu defeated Pabebe 109-93. The loser tried hard to contain the winner's offense but missed important baskets in the crucial minutes of the game. Bernard Carino scored 26 points for the winner and was named the JBL Best Player. Macascas collected 21 points for the loser.
Pinas Hotshot of Ruben Del Rosario beat Old Dawgs 77-61. Jasper led the winner with 24 points and won the Titan Watch Best Player award. Basinang scored 12 points for the loser.
