Team Kapuso grabbed all but two of the nine doubles in thunderous fashion in the Pabico Tennis Cup as Bernie Soguilon and Gary Bautro of the Legends category (60-years and above) led the victory charge against Cesar Quilenderino and Jun Tomas of Team Kapamilya by sweeping their matches 3-0 after three rounds on separate dates at the King Abdulaziz University compound here. The Kapuso team sustained its winning ways with the tandems of Mike Amerol and Roman Alcantara joining the band versus Ica Lovitos and JM Bravo (8-1); Waymour Carmelotes and Romeo Poras over Marlon Pagsanjan and Romy Sora (8-5); Rolly Bautista and Rolly Saldana versus Roy Timtiman and Mario Betorio (8-4); Ali Callanta and Arnold Tambalo against Sherwin Narvais and Clark Maldo (8-3) and Rick Maulion and Yusuf Adriatico versus Nasser Cayquep and Ariel Domingo (8-7). Team Kapamilya's Julius Garcia and Zaldy Gabriel refused to back down and came out fighting for an 8-3 win against Kapuso's Leo Milarion and Mashur Jamiri. Peter Abou Toumo and Fernan Fermin registered their team's other win, 8-6, over Vic Rebong and Nilo Gamba of Team Kapuso. Since the 9th doubles match between Kapuso's Celso Abella and Norwin Catipay against Kapamilya's Fred Masangkay and Boy Isuga became inconsequential, the organizers scratched the match and declared Team Kapuso as the winner with 57–47 total points. — SG
