Pakistan Falcons and Falcons scored comfortable wins in Round 8 of SAIB Cricket Tournament, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB) and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
Al-Kharj League
Pakistan Falcons surprised Amer Holidays with a 34-run victory in the 40-over championship. Pakistan Flacons, electing to bat first, posted a formidable total of 366-8. Yassir Ahmed was the top scorer with 109. Hamza Abbasi hit 72, Owais Abbasi 50, Arif Hussain 43 and Waseem 30. Irfan Mushtaq was the pick of the bowlers with 3-50. Kamran Hadi, Samiullah and Asim bagged one wicket each.
Amer Holidays was all out for 332. Sami Arshad played a brilliant knock of 106. Other notable contributions came from Kamran Hadi (60), Abdulrahman (47), Asim (34) and Shams (24). Arif Hussain bagged 4 wickets, while Matiullah picked up 2.
In another match, Falcons got the better of Lahore Lions by 86 runs. Batting first, Falcons was all out for 303. Farhan Mushtaq blasted 105, Kaleemullah 51 and Asif Butt 43. Mansoor bagged 3 wickets, while Muzaffar, Obaidullah and Jamshed got 2 each.
In reply, Lahore Lions was restricted to 217. Fahad and Qamar scored 68 each, while Muzaffar managed 49. Farhan Mushtaq and Asmatullah claimed 3 wickets each, while Sirajuddin got 2.
Huraymala League Fonte Star beat Kohsar Cricket Club by 10 runs in the low-scoring T20 Tournament encounter. Fonte Star posted 162 thanks mainly to Waseem Jutt's 69. Mateen Abbasi took 5-24. Kohsar Cricket Club managed 152 in reply. Meraj added 38 and Nasir 26. Afaq and Ghulam picked up 3 wickets each, while Waheed got 2.
L'usine CC beat Saudi Jaguars by 6 wickets. Jaguars, batting first, scored 208-6. Danish scored 70 and Faisal 41. Umer picked up 3 wickets. L'usine chased the target in 18.5 overs.
Syed Adeel remained unbeaten on 107 off 54 balls. Rustam hit 30 and Azam 24. Faisal picked up 2 wickets. Super CC beat Stallions by 9 wickets. Batting first, Stallions scored 109. Zia added 24 and Yassir 21. For Super CC, Mudassar and Babar bagged 3 wickets each and Adnan Malik got 2. Super CC was home in 7.1 overs. Rashid and Adnan Malik played well and scored 50 and 40, respectively. Riyadh Warriors thumped Asia XI by 4 wickets. Asia XI scored 209 with Nasir scoring 101 and Babu 48. Shakeel bowled well and picked up 4-15. Riyadh Warriors achieved the target in 18 overs. Mohsin added 52, Asif 43 and Abdulaziz 40. Iftikhar scalped 3 wickets for Asia XI. — SG
