Riyadh — Golden Telangana Welfare Association and Young Talent Musical Group jointly celebrated the 67th Republic Day Celebrations at Riyadh. Despite freezing temperature a large number of Indians along with their families attended the function. Republic Day is no less than a festival for any Indian as it was on this day all Indians got their fundamental and constitutional rights. The speakers enlightened the audience with information about the constitution of India and our constitutional rights. Their thrust was that we should use constitutional knowledge to get benefit for our personal growth as many government, social and economic schemes are being offered by government for the benefit of minorities and other weaker sections. The invited guest speaker Syed Zia ur Rahman, CEO, Yahind.com, and TM Mohammed Mubin addressed the elite gathering. Their address centered on India's unity and diversity. Zia gave details of the various schemes and programs offered by the central and state governments for minorities. He said there are many schemes for the benefit of minorities but most of the funds in these schemes remain unutilized as people don't have knowledge and information about these schemes. He cited the examples of schemes of Indian government like Jan Dhan Yojana scheme, Prime Minister Suraksha Beema Yojna, Jeevan Jyothi Beema Yojana, Atal Pension Scheme, Saansad Adrash Gram Yojana (model village) Digital India, Make in India, Startup India. He said 150 million bank accounts were opened under these schemes. Zia focused on Telangana government schemes as swachh Telangana and swachh Hyderabad in which the government allocated 200 crores, also 75 crores for the Niti Ayogg. Similarly the Telangana industrial policy will excel growth in small scale industries. Keeping in view the families responsibilities, the respective government started the Kalyan Lakshmi/Shadi Mubarak scheme offering 51,000 rupees upon girl's marriage of all weaker sections and minorities. He said we should strive to get maximum benefits of such schemes in favor of the suffering community. The society should be aware of these schemes as there are many other schemes, which will benefit the community. In his presidential address architect Abdul Rahman Saleem, president, Hindustani Bazme Urdu, appreciated the GTWA and YTMG for providing this cultural evening and emphasized the importance of such cultural events which remind our past and keep us connected with our national heritage. Saleem also said the day entrusted in us the will to follow the duties as a citizen and respect the rule of law as it is needed. Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali, president, AIUS as a guest of honor, addressed the gathering and expressed best wishes to the nation and countrymen and hoped that they would focus on the welfare of the people and development of the country. TM Mohammed Mubin quoted the social values of Telangana culture and said the need is to understand the moral values of these sayings. Mohammed Shahbaz Farooqui, banker and senior manager of SABB, congratulated all the Indians living in Saudi Arabia for their connectivity towards India. He announced that emerging star Amaan ur Rahman from Riyadh got selected for the Indian national Table Tennis team and said all residents of Riyadh should be proud of this accomplishment. His coach and father Mohammed Zia Ul Rahman got full hearted support of the gathering on this achievement. Taher Bin Jaffer, president, GTWA, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the work done by the association. He said that his association is committed towards the needs and welfare programs. He said it is a non-political association and we are sincerely dedicated to the community welfare. The popular melody stars of Riyadh participated in the cultural program. Anchored by Mohammed Fazal, the evening offered the melodious songs by Mirza Omer Baig, Syed Sayeed, Sajeed, Alex Methews, Mohammed Asif, Baby Nancy, Lena Baby and Mirza Asad Baig.
