SERVO Indian oil brand enters the Saudi market

JEDDAH — With an eye on doubling its lubricant business globally, SERVO brand, from Indian Oil, which is the brand leader among lubricants and greases in India, has entered Saudi Arabia by announcing a partnership with Mohammed Yousef Naghi & Brothers Group.
The announcement was made on Monday at Jeddah Hilton with the presence of K.L. Murthy, Executive Director of Indian Oil Corporation Limited; Abdul Wahab Itani, Senior Vice President of Mohammed Yousef Naghi & Brothers Group; Khalid Al Harthy, Market Manager of Mohammed Yousef Naghi & Brothers Group; Amitabh Akhauri, Managing Director of IOC Middle East FZE; and Indrajit Bose, Executive Director (CC& Branding) of IOC.
Commenting on the entry of SERVO world-class lubricants into the Saudi market, K.L. Murthy said "the launch of SERVO products in Saudi Arabia for us comes as a very important stage in our global expansion and we look forward to our partnership with Mohammed Yousef Ngai Group in a step to further expand our range of offerings in Saudi Arabia."
Murthy, along with senior company officials, addressed a press conference where he spoke about the company's growth in the region and its future expansion.
"With this new expansion in Saudi Arabia, SERVO lubricants will now be available in 27 international markets. SERVO aspires to meet the discerning needs of all segments of customers in Saudi Arabia, especially in industrial oils, automotive oils, marine oils and greases," he said.
He added "in Saudi Arabia, we look forward to a long-lasting association with Mohamed Yousef Naghi Group to take the SERVO brand further among the discerning customer base in the country."
Abdul Wahab Itani said "we are very pleased to announce our partnership with Servo, world class lubricants and looking forward positive results in the coming years."
Khalid Al Harthy said "in view of the keen desire of Mohammed Yousef Naghi Motors Company in providing additional distinctive services to our customers in the area of after sales services, we found that the partnership with Indian Oil Corporation is an excellent opportunity to achieve this goal."
He further said "in the light of the high demand for aftermarket services in Saudi Arabia, especially in the automotive sector, we found SERVO oils, one of the most important products of Indian Oil Corporation and we are sure it will be successful and accepted by our customers because of its high quality and competitive prices."
Speaking of SERVO's operation in Saudi Arabia, Amitabh Akhauri said in the first year of operations, the company is targeting a volume of around 500,000 tons and aspire to capture with this partnership a five percent market share.
SERVO has grown to be the leading lubricants brand in India, which is one of the fastest growing economies of the world, registering spectacular growth in several key sectors. SERVO has also carved out a significant niche in several international markets, with strong presence in Africa, Southeast Asia and West Asia.
