Tawuniya raises motor insurance awareness
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 16 - 02 - 2016

The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya), the leader of retail motor insurance programs, has launched the TRUST campaign aiming at increasing awareness about its motor insurance products in the Kingdom.
The campaign reflects Tawuniya compliance toward its customers by the provision of outstanding services through its famous motor insurance products (Al-Shamel, SANAD and SANAD Plus). These services are considered one of the key factors attracting the customers to choose Tawuniya's products that are protecting them from losses resulting from motor accidents including own damage to insured cars and third party liability.
Tawuniya Vice President for Motor, Fawaz Hijji, said "Tawuniya has taken upon itself the care of quality services provided to its customers, based on our understanding of the importance of raising the level of individuals' awareness and its role in protecting them from the risk of financial burdens." He pointed out that Tawuniya has a lot of fundamental factors that distinguish it in the field of motor insurance.
According to him, these products are provided to its customers through 114 sales offices spread across the Kingdom and its website. In addition, Tawuniya has 12 claim services centers and offices for receiving claims and settling them in various regions of the Kingdom, as well as providing an extensive network of agents and approved repair centers.
Hijji added that the company has developed its services to customers affected by motor accidents as it succeeded in shortening the period required for issuing the Motor Repair Order for Al-Shamel clients only 48 hours after receipt of the completed claim documents, as well as reducing the claim settlement period to 5 working days. Within this framework, Tawuniya incurred claims against motor accidents during the past three years amounting to SR 2,488 million, which contributed in supporting the customers' trust in Tawuniya as a company that meets its obligations toward its valued customers. Moreover, Hijji pointed out that "TRUST" campaign, which will last throughout the month of February, includes sending awareness messages through the various media, and social media channels focusing on supporting the concept of trust in Tawuniya products to meet the frequent motor accidents risks that are most threatening to the lives in Saudi society, as the statistics issued by the Traffic Department show that the kingdom witnessed during the year 1435H more than 478,000 traffic accidents leading to 35,843 injuries and 7,486 death cases.
Hijji said: "All motor insurance programs may appear similar in their cover, but the motor insurance programs of Tawuniya include many of benefits that distinguish them from the other insurance programs, whether in quality level, or limits of cover such as covering the natural hazards within the basic cover of Al-Shamel program and the additional covers of SANAD as well as SANAD Plus that combine the benefits of Al-Shamel and SANAD at an affordable cost. Our programs also offer a number of value-added services, including the free assistance on the roads in emergency situations faced by Al-Shamel insurance customers.
