The Whiz Kid assembly was conducted in the Prep Section on Monday at the International Indian School Dammam (IISD). Following prayers, pledge, thought for the day and news we had some exciting programs lined up for the assembly. An enchanting poetic enactment of ‘Metamorphosis' was conducted by the grade 2 girls. The dance by the boys and the girls on the song ‘It's a Wonderful World' depicting nature, filled the atmosphere with aesthetic harmony of colors and happiness. Children exhibited their oratory skills in Hindi and English through their speeches ‘Mera Gaon' and ‘Hard work is the key to success'. The champions of the spelling bee competition and the Whiz Kid competition were felicitated. Inspiring, enlightening and engaging would describe the Whiz Kid competition conducted in the Prep Section. For the screening purpose four rounds of competitions were conducted. After this emerged the Final Winners out of 1,700 children. The Spelling Bee Champions are Nasrullah Khan, Bhoomika Joshi and Nada. The Whiz Kid 2016 — Prep section is Afrah Fathima. The competitions were aimed at developing the knowledge and excellence base among the students. The cowning and award ceremony, headed by Principal Dr. E K Mohd. Shaffe, Vice principal Ms. Dhanalaxmi R, Headmistess Ms. Sadiqua Wahid, Vice Principals and Heads of various sections, boosted the morale of the students.
