The Kingdom has a comprehensive and strategic plan to keep the country strong and safe from any dangers or threats. The plan involves the security, political, economic and social aspects of the nation and is being implemented according to a clear scheme of work and well-designed goals. It has nothing to do with what is going on in the Middle East region. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, said on the day he became King: “The strength of this country lies in its belief in an immortal divine revelation and in its consistent and strong political structure. I will enhance its position in the world.” To realize this strategy, a program of development, protection, defense and enhancement of security was launched. As a result, the Kingdom has focused on achieving balanced and sustainable development and rebuilding and restructuring its military forces. The Kingdom's strategic plan seeks to enhance the country's security and prepare it to deal with any terrorist acts. It is a long-term strategy with multiple facets but with one goal: to provide the Saudi armed forces with the best defense capabilities. That is why the Kingdom signed an agreement with the United States to buy 84 new fighter jets and modernize 70 other jets in addition to 70 attack helicopters, 72 multi-purpose helicopters, 36 reconnaissance helicopters and 12 other helicopters of different types. The agreement includes providing the Kingdom with ammunition, spare parts, maintenance services and training courses for Saudi soldiers. All this is in line with well-designed plans and programs based on the Kingdom's defense needs and requirements for enhancing security and comprehensive development. They did not come at this time because there are currently many changes in the region. The Kingdom knows what it wants and how to achieve it and how to protect its security in the interests of its people who have to be protected from any harm. This agreement is part of a larger plan to which the Kingdom has allocated thousands of millions of riyals. The Kingdom wants to remain safe, secure and stable not only for its citizens, but for all Arabs and Muslims. __
