Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology, represented by Badir Program for Technology Incubators and the Saudi Business Incubator Network, organize the 7th Annual Saudi Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Conference which will be held on the Jan. 27-28, 2016 in the conference hall of the KACST headquarters in Riyadh. The conference will include the participation of top experts, scientists, technology incubators, and entrepreneurship enthusiasts from around the world. The forum aims to enable governments, financial institutions, universities, research institutions, the private sector, and chambers of commerce to share experiences and best practices with regards to business incubation as a strategy in the development of a knowledge- based economy. This conference is considered the largest gathering of leaders, decision makers, investors in entrepreneurship and technology incubators, entrepreneurs, and start-ups from around the Kingdom. The forum aims to enable international, regional and local experts to present and discuss the challenges and opportunities of the business incubation and entrepreneurship sector in the MENA region, in addition to sharing developments in policy-making, strategies, and future opportunities for the development of the regional business incubation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. The conference will involve the participation of numerous male and female innovators, inventors, researchers, investors and entrepreneurs in the technology industry. In addition incubator managers and staff, educational institutions, technology companies, and stakeholders interested in innovation, entrepreneurship and the technology incubation industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be present. It is expected that a number of regional stakeholders will also be present. The Saudi Business Incubator Network (SBIN) which is organizing the conference alongside BADIR, supports the activities of incubators by facilitating information and experience exchange among Saudi incubators, policy makers, clients, and related organizations.
