JEDDAH — Saudi women may join hands in the fight against corruption when they will soon be employed in the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha). "Nazaha may soon open the door for women to help it achieve its goals in consolidating the concept of transparency and fighting administrative and financial corruption," a source, requesting anonymity, said. The source, however, said the women will have to pass through 49 steps before they are allowed to take up their positions. He said women with the required qualifications and experience should register the names at the commission's website and compete for the jobs according to the accredited civil service appointment rules. The source said women applicants need to sign several pledges before getting access to register on the website. He said job applicants should sign a pledge that the data contained in their CVs and all the other attached documents are authentic. "Whenever the commission detects any discrepancies in the data, the women will be questioned and penalized even after they have been appointed," he said. The source said before assuming their jobs, the women will be asked to present affidavits about their possessions including properties, cash money, real estate, metals, their current sources of income, debts and all other belongings whether inside the Kingdom or abroad. He said after acceptance, the women will be asked to take an oath of loyalty before the commission's chairman and his deputies.
