RCA kicks off SAIB Cricket Tournament

RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket Association started SAIB Cricket Tournament here over the weekend.
This is the 6th event being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) in the 2015-16 season. Saudi Arabian Investment Bank is sponsoring the tournament.
Huraymala League
KFSH Green thumped Stallions by 16 runs. KFSH Green piled up 207 for 6. Adnan blasted 65, while Suhail and Rafaqat contributed 27 and 22. Aamir picked up 4 wickets. Ishfaq and Shakir grabbed 2 wickets each. Stallions managed only 191. Ishfaq (48), Azhar (41) and Sohail (31) batted well. Tahir was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets. Safdar bagged 2.
Sinmar lost to Sialkot XI by 99 runs. Sialkot XI posted 168 for 9. Zahid top scored with 72. Abid took 3 wickets, while Haroon and Zain bagged 2 each. Sinmar fumbled to 69. Zain (15) was the top scorer. Zahid starred with the ball as we well as he picked up 5 wickets. Khalid and Amjad claimed 2 wickets each.
Hayer League
Imran XI beat Kashmir Strikers by 21 runs. Thanks to brilliant stroke play by openers Azmat (95) and Aqib (58), Imran XI put on 247. Hussain chipped in with 26. Manzoor picked up 3 wickets, while Faizan grabbed 2. Kashmir Strikers fought hard but was restricted to 226. Sameer was the top scorer with 88. Shabir (41) and Mudasir (30) also batted well. Khalid scalped 3 wickets and Hussain 2.
Indian Strikers humbled PTI by 8 wickets. PTI scored 193. Qasim hit 46, Sultan 41 and Qadir 29. Mithun picked up 3 wickets. Indian Strikers chased the target in 15 overs. Mithun blasted a stylish 87, while Junais and Ashraf scored 34 and 35, respectively.
In other matches, FAST thrashed AKCC Blue by 55 runs, White Star cruised to 6-wicket victory over TBCC, Watan Pal thumped Rising Stars by 6 wickets and Patriots flattened AKCC by 80 runs.
Diriyah League
Harbi XI marked its debut in RCA with a 45-run victory over Abana. Harbi collected 234 for 6. Farooq smashed a stunning ton (104). Shahid and Muhib added 38 and 35, respectively. In reply, Abana was all out for 189. Zia and Shahid produced 36 runs each, Qadir made 22. Murad, Aftab, Naimatullah and Shahid picked up 2 wickets each.
Habib Telecom lost to Karachi Dolphins by 43 runs. Karachi Dolphins scored 178 for 6 wickets. Rizwan hit 68 and Salman 36. Habib Telecom fumbled to 135. Raheel took 4 wickets and Salman 3.
Sahara Net defeated Detecon Eagles by 18 runs. Sahara Net racked up 178. Jawaid, Arif and Rizwan scored 43, 41 and 29, respectively. Farooq bagged 4 wickets. Detecon Eagles scrabbled to 160. Atif and Niraj scalped 2 wickets each.
Ravi thumped Shumaisi Fighters by 4 wickets. Shumaisi Fighters was bowled out for 125. Abu Baker picked up 5 wickets, while Zaid and Zeeshan grabbed 2 each. Ravi chased the target in 14.3 overs. Abu Baker and Rana contributed 22 each.
Al-Momen International School humbled Phoenix by 5 wickets. Phoenix posted 138. Furqan top scored with 37 and Antar added 22. Al-Momen School was home (139) in 15.4 overs. Arif hit 44 and Adil 31. Furqan and Raja took 2 wickets each.
