Published in The Saudi Gazette on 12 - 01 - 2016

The educational sector in Saudi Arabia will witness during the coming period a qualitative leap to qualify male and female students at higher secondary level by performing the aptitude tests using the "Barcode" methodology. A book has been completed recently on the subject titled "Qualifying for Aptitude Test using Barcode Methodology" written by the Saudi teacher Ahmed bin Saleh Aldayni, Al-Faisaliah School for Gifted Students in Jeddah, in cooperation with Casio Company through its immediate support to facilitate mathematics curriculum learning for students.
The qualifying test of aptitude in higher secondary school level, represents the first step currently started, and will constitute an important step towards making students identify the tests and helping them to learn some computational issues with ease in cooperation with the private sector, represented by Casio company. The book will be developed to contain all educational stages including university studies.
Khalid bin Dakheel Allah Al Harthi, Manager of Education Office at Jeddah Province Central Division, said "the quickness and correctness of mathematical thinking is one of the education objectives."
He said excelling the skill of a secondary school student will benefit him/her throughout their lives starting from the secondary learning level, through the tests of the National Center for Assessment in Higher Education up to university studies. He added that Saudi teacher Aldayni has achieved this outstanding work "Qualifying for Aptitude Test using Barcode Methodology" with a number of mathematical computation questions in place entailed by answers through YouTube with a "Barcode" against each.
Manager of Al-Faisaliah School for Gifted Students, Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Shihri, said: "Al-Faisaliah School for Gifted Students is fortunate to have Mr. Ahmed bin Saleh Eldeni among its faculty, as the students have benefited from his knowledge, skills and specialty in the field". He added": "We are now picking the fruits of this outstanding teacher through his valuable book and I wish the book would be a qualitative leap for the beneficiary students and reader."
Casio has worked in cooperation with a number of education departments to launch social indicatives for supporting male and female students and teachers of mathematics with modern and highly advanced "calculators", exerting support and assistance through organizing educational workshops in cooperation with the educational departments, which require the same for students, female and male teachers in order to teach them on the methods of using modern and advanced calculators recently launched. As such the mathematic curriculum has consequently become popular, easy and learnable.
Aldayni, founder of "Mathematic Educational Network" website, said since its establishment, which received the support of Casio, the site contributed to increased male and female students' learning skills, especially in mathematics. He stated that the site viewers' number reached 64 million through learning video clips in five years and the videos number reached 5000 educational clips benefiting millions of male and female students in mathematics.
With regard to the Casio launched technology used in mathematics, Aldayni explained that there is a new calculator used in the education field – previously banned - relates to charting and graphing named "Scientific Calculator" FX-9860GII.
Mahmood Saleh Abbar Co., the approved agent for Casio products in the Kingdom, supports the development of education through courses, specifically organized for teachers.
