MADINAH — At least 15 people died and several others were injured in road accidents in various parts of the Kingdom on Tuesday. Nine people were killed and five injured when a speeding vehicle toppled over on Madinah-Qassim Road. Qassim Health Affairs spokesman Dr. Ibrahim Al-Thuwaini said all the victims were from a Yemeni family. Three people were taken to hospital with critical injuries while two others suffered mild injuries. The bodies were transferred to the morgue. Meanwhile, three people were killed and two others injured after their car toppled over on Taima-Madinah Highway. Tabuk Red Crescent Khalid Al-Enizi said one of the injured victims was in a critical condition. In Abha, a head-on collision between two cars killed three people and injured several others. Asir Health spokesman Saeed Al-Ahmari said one of the cars caught fire due to the impact. The victims suffered bone fractures, burns and head injuries. In Yanbu, 16 workers were injured when the bus transporting them toppled over. Madinah Red Crescent spokesman Khalid Al-Sahly said the victims were taken to a nearby hospital.
