Published in The Saudi Gazette on 08 - 01 - 2016

Artemi Panarin scored two goals including the game-winner for the second consecutive night to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at the United Center.
Coming off a two-goal performance, including an overtime winner, in the Blackhawks' 3-2 win over the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Panarin was again the difference in the second game of the back-to-back.
He scored the clincher on Wednesday with a shot from the right circle at 8:56 of the third period to give the Blackhawks a 2-1 advantage.
Canadiens 2, Devils 1
Special teams were the difference as the Montreal Canadiens edged the New Jersey Devils 2-1 at the Bell Centre.
Max Pacioretty and Torrey Mitchell scored for Montreal (23-16-3) while Adam Henrique replied for the Devils (20-16-5).
Goaltender Mike Condon stopped 19 shots for the Canadiens while counterpart Cory Schneider made 23 saves for New Jersey.
Canucks 3, Hurricanes 2
Bo Horvat scored his second goal of the game on a power play with 1:06 left in the third to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Horvat took pass from behind the net from Sven Baertschi and snapped a shot past Carolina goaltender Eddie Lack.
Maple Leafs 4, Ducks 0
Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier tied a season high with 39 saves for his second shutout while Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau scored two goals to lead Toronto to a 4-0 rout of the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center.
Tyler Bozak added two assists, giving him the team lead with 18, and Dion Phaneuf contributed his 300th career assist for the Maple Leafs (16-15-7), who have now won three consecutive games and six of their past eight.
Avalanche 4, Blues 3 (OT)
Gabriel Landeskog scored at 4:44 of overtime as the Colorado Avalanche beat the St. Louis Blues 4-3.
Nathan MacKinnon, Matt Duchene and Mikhail Grigorenko also scored for Colorado (20-18-3) while goaltender Semyon Varlamov had 35 saves.
The back-and-forth overtime ended when St. Louis goalie Jake Allen came out to play a puck entering the zone.
John Mitchell got there first and sent a pass across to Landeskog, who scored into an empty net for his ninth of the season.
