Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 10 - 2015

The Montreal Canadiens beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 Saturday to become the first team in NHL history to win nine straight games in regulation to start the season.
Goaltender Carey Price stopped 49 shots for Montreal (9-0-0) and Jonathan Bernier made 22 saves for the Maple Leafs (1-4-2).
Defenseman P.K. Subban, left wingers Lars Eller and Max Pacioretty, center David Desharnais and right winger Brendan Gallagher scored for the Canadiens.
Blackhawks 1, Lightning 0 (OT): Jonathan Toews scored 17 seconds into overtime to lift the Chicago Blackhawks to a 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Goaltender Corey Crawford stopped all 21 shots he faced in his first shutout of the season for Chicago (5-3-0). The game was the first meeting between the teams since the Stanley Cup final, which the Blackhawks won in six games.
Wild 3, Ducks 0: The reeling Anaheim Ducks continued to struggle, mustering little offense or effort in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild.
Defenseman Matt Dumba, left winger Thomas Vanek and center Ryan Carter scored for Minnesota (5-1-1), which had lost 10 of its previous 11 games to the Ducks. Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk stopped all 15 Anaheim shots for his first shutout of the season as Minnesota improved to 3-0-0 at home.
It was another quiet offensive night for the Ducks (1-5-1), who have managed just six goals in their first seven games.
Flyers 3, Rangers 2 (SO): The Philadelphia Flyers stemmed a losing trend from last season with a 3-2 shootout home win over the New York Rangers in the first meeting between the Metropolitan Division rivals.
Centers Sam Gagner and Claude Giroux scored in the shootout, with Giroux scoring the decisive one to give the Flyers (4-2-1) their fourth win in the last five games.
Penguins 2, Predators 1 (OT): Phil Kessel's goal 41 seconds into overtime gave the Pittsburgh Penguins a 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators.
It was the first loss at home for the Predators, after four straight victories to open the season. It also snapped a three-game winning streak for Nashville (6-1-1).
Islanders 3, Blues 2 (OT): Center Mikhail Grabovski scored with one minute left in overtime to lift the New York Islanders to a 3-2 win over the Blues, their first win in St. Louis in nearly 10 years.
The win halted a five-game losing streak by the Islanders against the Blues and was their first win against the Blues since March 5, 2011 and their first win in St. Louis since Dec. 6, 2005.
Panthers 6, Stars 2: Led by a goal and an assist from center Jaromir Jagr and goaltender Al Montoya stopping 33 of 35 shots, the Florida Panthers defeated the Dallas Stars 6-2.
After Dallas took an early lead on a power-play goal by left winger Jamie Benn, Florida (4-3-1) scored four straight times to take command as the Stars' five-game winning streak ended.
Devils 4, Sabres 2: Adam Henrique scored two goals and assisted on another as the New Jersey Devils won their fourth straight, beating the Buffalo Sabres, 4-2.
Left winger Mike Cammalleri added a goal and two assists for the Devils (4-3-1), who won in regulation for the first time this season. Defenseman David Schlemko scored the go-ahead goal in the comeback win, and goaltender Cory Schneider made 26 saves.
Coyotes 4, Senators 1: The Arizona Coyotes ended a four-game drought with a 4-1 road win over the Ottawa Senators.
Wingers Brad Richardson and Mikkel Boedker scored third-period goals 1:18 apart to send the Senators to their fourth straight loss.
Red Wings 3, Canucks 2 (OT): Gustav Nyquist scored with 1:10 left in three-on-three overtime to give the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.
Detroit goaltender Petr Mrazek set up the winning goal by sending a long pass up the ice to Nyguist, who skated in alone and beat Vancouver goaltender Ryan Miller.
Other results: Blue Jackets 4, Avalanche 3; Sharks 5, Hurricanes 2.
