Shiraz Uppal wows fans in Riyadh

RIYADH — Shiraz Uppal wowed his fans with his electrifying performance in a musical concert arranged by the Pakistan Embassy here.
Uppal, a Pakistani singer, was the show-stopper of the musical concert attended by hundreds of Pakistanis in the chancery hall of the embassy. The concert kicked off with a welcome note from the Community Welfare Attaché Capt. (R) Syed Hammad Abid and a brief introduction about Uppal. "Along with a unique voice and a God-gifted talent of singing, Shiraz Uppal is also counted as one of the handsome singers in Pakistan. Most of his songs are full of sweet melodies and soothing tunes that create a feeling of joy and happiness. That is the reason why thousands of people find themselves smiling naturally just after listening to his songs," Hammad said.
"His popular songs are "Tera Te Mera", "Mann Ja Ve", "Roya Re", Rabba", "Saiyan Ve" and many more. Each and every song of his has proven to be a hit, thus providing the music Industry of Pakistan with unlimited success and fame," Hammad added.
Speaking on the occasion Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq said, "It is with great pleasure we are having such a talented Pakistani singer with us, and I am so happy to witness such a jubilant crowd today."
"Today's event is in connection with the Quaid's day (Dec. 25) celebrations. Pakistan has produced many renowned singers and our cultural diversity has its own identity. We will continue to highlight our diversities," he added.
Uppal, the man of the night, made an enthralling start with one of his super hit song "Tera Tey Mera". He also presented some famous songs and a medley of the Gurus Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and A.R. Rehman.
Uppal's standout tracks brought his fans close to the stage and they danced to his acoustic beats and performance while asking Uppal for more ‘n' more, and Uppal didn't disappoint his fans as he presented more songs on their special demands.
Besides Shiraz Uppal's performance some local singers and performers also entertained the audience. Young and talented Pakistani DJ Usama Khan (DJUK) participated in the concert, Afzal Toor from Al-Khobar presented a couple of famous songs while a prominent Riyadh-based singer Farhad, along with his musicians, regaled the audience with one of the famous Pashto song "Bibi Sherini".
A memento sheild was presented to Shiraz Uppal by the Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq on behalf of the embassy.
