Islanders 5, Ducks 2: The New York Islanders scored three first-period goals and went on to end a three-game losing streak by beating the Anaheim Ducks 5-2 at Barclays Center.

Flyers 4, Blues 3: The Philadelphia Flyers will enjoy their holiday break after completing a furious rally to beat the St. Louis Blues 4-3 at Wells Fargo Center.
The Flyers (15-12-7) trailed 3-0 midway through the second period before ripping off four unanswered goals to improve to 8-2-2 in their past 12 games.
Penguins 5, Blue Jackets 2: Penguins winger Phil Kessel ended a scoring slump with two goals, Evgeni Malkin had two more and Pittsburgh halted a five-game losing streak by beating the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-2 to give new coach Mike Sullivan his first win.
