RIYADH – Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, has issued directives to extend the validity of visitor's identity card for Yemenis residing in the Kingdom for another six months beginning Dec. 25, 2015 (14/3/1437H), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Saturday. The current validity of visitor's identity cards granted to Yemenis residing in the Kingdom will expire on Dec. 31, 2015(20/3/1437H). The Crown Prince's directives are in implementation of the order of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to take the necessary measures to rectify the status of Yemeni nationals residing in the Kingdom illegally by granting them renewable visit visas for six months from July 8, 2015 (21/9/1436H). The royal order also permits them to work, hence, exempting them from the regulations after they obtain travel documents from the legitimate government of their country. The Passports Department (Jawazat) has completed all the necessary preparations for carrying out the royal order. The Department added that the SR100 fee for extending the validity of visitor's identity card for six months can be paid through Sadad system as of Friday Dec. 25, 2015 (14/3/1437H) until Sunday Jan. 3, 2016(23/3/1437H). The Jawazat called on all hosts of visitor's identity card holders who have not been registered in "Absher" to register fast through the Interior Ministry's website.
