The efforts of the Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Passports have contributed to the implementation of the Royal Decree issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to correct the conditions of Yemenis living on the Saudi territories as violating residents before the date of 20/6/1436H and grant them visas for a period of 6 months, which can be extended after obtaining travel documents from the legitimate government of their country, where the number of Yemenis whose statuses were corrected and visitor's identities were issued exceeded more than 500,000 visitors. These efforts come as an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's positions with the Government and people of Yemen and in recognition of its citizens and the alleviation of the burdens imposed on them in view of the current situation in Yemen.
