Education is key factor that turns things around: Mubarak

JEDDAH — Education is one key factor that really turns things around, said Indian Consul General Bawa Syed Mubarak at a function organized by Telangana United Forum (TUF) at Lasani restaurant Madinah Road.
Speaking to the large gathering, Mubarak expressed his happiness on attending the function. He said, "I was in double mind when I was invited initially because I have to attend one more event. But when the invitation and program contents were passed to me I could not resist. There was voluntarism and talent development programs being discussed and as a student of life, I said, I should go and listen to the speakers."
Mubarak said society flourished through education. Instead of focusing on various other things we should focus on moral education. "If we give the right education to our kids I am sure the future generation will be far superior to what we are," he added. Mubarak also appreciated activities of TUF especially in field of education and healthcare.
Siadath Ali Khan, president TUF, received the chief guest on the stage along with guest of honor Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Balabuid, vice dean for development Jeddah Community College (JCC) & assistant professor at industrial engineering department of King Abdul Aziz University (KAU), speakers Dr. Thejo Jose, Dr. Laxman Sockalingam and Dr. Danish Abdul Ghafoor.
The program started with recitation of few verses from Holy Qur'an by young Qari Hafiz Mohammed Saeed Uddin. Naat was presented by Asimuddin Ansari Naqbandi.
Distinguished Saudi and Indian dignitaries included Basim Abdul Wahab Zafar, head of computer & information technology KAU, Dr. Aftab Ahmed, assistant professor of Pharmacology KAU/JCC, heads of prominent socio-welfare NRI associations from Jeddah Arif Quraishi, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Shamim Kauser, Khwaja Viqaruddin, Yousufuddin Amjad, Hassan Bayazid, Bhajat Najmi and others attended the function.
Vice President Mehtab Qader welcomed all guests and audience. He expressed his gratitude to those who helped to make this event successful. He said the aim of the organization is to help all needy persons of the community. Dr. Abdullah said in his brief speech that KAU/JCC have new strategy plans to reach the expatriate community.
Dr. Thejo Jose, Dr. Laxman Sockalingam and Dr. Danish Abdul Ghafoor spoke at length on the topics of Voluntarism and Talent Development.
Flowers bouquet were presented to the guests by Mahmoud Balsharf, Obaid, Mazher Uddin, Syed Minhaj uddin, Ahmed Yasdani and Master Qaudrat Ali Khan.
A 20 minutes Power Point presentation on TUF activities was also presented. Bader Ansari was master ceremony. Shafi ullah delivered the vote of thanks.
