A SR500,000 grant from King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, was paid Saturday to the family of Farman Ali, a Pakistani expatriate who tragically drowned after saving 14 people during devastating floods in Jeddah two years ago. Abdul Aziz Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, handed over the money to the family at the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad. Farman's father, his widow, and his daughters attended the ceremony. Farman's widow thanked King Abdullah for the money and for hosting them last year for Haj. She also thanked Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, for receiving them and awarding them the King Abdul Aziz First Degree Medal for the heroic acts of her late husband. She said the Kingdom has always supported the Pakistani people in difficult times, particularly during the floods in their country in 2010 and 2011. __
