The hotel is strategically located in the Bay Central development in Dubai Marina, meaning guests only have a short, 10 minute walk to Jumeirah Beach Residence, and there's a tram station next to the hotel. The Director Brand Marketing, luxury & Lifestyle brands, IHG AMEA, Bruce Ryde, said: "the 328-key five-star hotel is designed with a modern, urban style, offering a boutique oasis in the heart of Dubai's thriving Marina." Ryde said the InterContinental's fourth hotel in the UAE has quickly become the place to be, and be seen, for guests and visitors from the region and beyond. With stunning views of the dramatic marina skyline, all of the hotel's guest rooms combine modern features with the trademark InterContinental luxury feel. The new hotel features rooms, suites, studies and one, two, three and four-bedroom residential apartments. Director of sales and marketing, InterContinental Dubai Marina, Cathy Mead, said the hotel's many pieces of art hold stories for guests to explore as they walk around the hotel. "Perhaps its a new style of InterContinental but still celebrating the core values of the InterContinental hotels all about," she said. The hotel features all the usual amenities one expects from a major chain in the UAE: a spa, gym, and beauty saloon. According to the InterContinental Marina Dubai Spa Manager, Melanie Schneider, the Spa in the hotel offers a treat for all the senses, an oasis of calm nestled in the heart of the bustling Dubai Marina. Schneider also said they would be offering evening Yoga classes near the pool deck overlooking the marina. "It will be every Sunday and Wednesday at 6.30 pm, available for in-house and outside guests." Several cafes and restaurants are available at the hotel for inside and outside guests, including Accents restaurant that serves international dishes such as Italian food and Thai. The hotel also hosts English chef Jason Atherton's first restaurant in Dubai, Social Marina. During Dubai's cooler months, the hotel plans to open an outdoor lounge and shisha lounge. On the other hand, if you prefer to be near Dubai's shopping, the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, with it's direct access to Festival City Mall, could be an appropriate choice. The hotel is know for it's wide variety of international cuisine on offer at it's restaurants, including Japanese, the seafood restaurant Anise, and the Terra Firma Steakhouse. "Club InterContinental offers guests a luxurious end-to-end journey. An unforgettable premium experience from the moment they arrive at the airport to the departure from the hotel Club, InterContinental offers an elevated level of hospitality turning attention to thoughtful touches and delightful surprises. Experiencing a life of luxury is important to InterContinental guests, so we ensure that their needs are catered to and for their personal preferences." Ryde said that Club InterContinental guests could enjoy an array of services including dedicated staff, clubrooms, and access to the exclusive Club InterContinental Lounge. Club InterContinental guests also have access to a Wi-Fi connection in their vehicle from the airport to the hotel, a gourmet breakfast buffet, complimentary pressing, a daily turndown service, a dedicated Club InterContinental room and evening drinks and canapés. "We are currently the largest international hotel company in the Middle East; our main focus is to continue to strive to deliver consistently great experiences," Ryde said.
