Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Prince Mohammed Bin Salman charity foundation "Misk", devoted to cultivating learning and leadership for the Saudi Arabia of tomorrow announced that it will host its 3rd annual SHOOF (meaning "Look") initiative on Sunday 15th of November, 2015 here at Jeddah Hilton. The annual forum, is an Initiative for the visual digital media and contribute to raising awareness among youth, it discuss the latest statistics, the most important industry-related topics. Topics and workshops will focus on talents, opportunities, creativity and highlight the development of media industry in Saudi Arabia. The 3rd forum will provide various opportunities for participants to jump- start in the world of new media, which contribute to those who are interested to develop their capabilities and skills in this area. At the same time, the forum will be the gate to discover more talents who could develop their talent in a variety of fields. According to MISK's press statement, the event will bring together the influential pioneers in social networking media channels to explore the latest trends. It is also a platform to support the positive use of social networking media channels, and honour the best practices in these channels. The aim of the SHOOF forum is to highlight the estimated national digital visual media; raise awareness among young people, consolidate the relationship of cooperation and partnership between the investors and relevant authorities. SHOOF 2015 this year significantly improved from previous years, noting that this initiative comes as part of the concerns of Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Foundation "MISK", which is keen on the use of young technical means to properly reflect positively on their community and their homeland, and hopes to provide various means to care for, empowerment of talent and creative energies and create a responsible and positive environment. The target groups are specialists in digital visual media, individuals who wish to develop their knowledge and the private sector interested in digital media. The forum will also highlight the contribution of visual media in the construction of society by interaction with societal issues and create opportunities for the production of short films. It is noteworthy that the forum in its last two years witnessed 7 sessions, 3 workshops, attended by 5000 persons, was followed by 20000 people from various social media channels and witnessed the participation of 38 local and regional speakers.
