The Wildcats scored the first 11 points of the game and led by as many as 34 points late. The Cardinals (11-0) trailed the College of Charleston, 57-55, with 5 minutes 6 seconds to play, but went on a run over the next three minutes, capped by a 3-pointer by Chris Smith, to take a 66-59 lead. Pitt 71, St. Francis (PA.) 47: J. J. Moore scored 15 points and Dante Taylor added 14 points and 8 rebounds as No. 15 Pittsburgh won at home. The Panthers (11-1) won their ninth straight by holding the Red Flash to 35 percent shooting. Anthony Ervin had 13 points for St. Francis, which never recovered after Pitt led by 13-0.
