Flames 3, Red Wings 2 (OT): Mark Giordano's second goal of the game with 1:48 remaining in overtime gave Calgary a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings, snapping the Flames (2-5-0) four-game losing streak. The Red Wings (3-4-0) have now dropped four straight. During the three-on-three overtime session, Giordano took a pass from Johnny Gaudreau in the Detroit zone and deked Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard, who made 37 saves in the game. Kings 3, Hurricanes 0: Tyler Toffoli scored a pair of goals, sparking the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-0 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at Staples Center. Toffoli extended his streak of goals to a career high four games as the Kings (4-3-0) defeated the Hurricanes for the fifth straight time at Staples. Anze Kopitar also scored for the Kings, who captured their fourth consecutive win.
