UNDER the auspices of Minister of Transport Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Muqbel, and in the presence of Chairman and members of National Automotive Committee for Car Dealers in Saudi Arabia, the 9th edition of the Luxury Motor Show (EXCS 9) was inaugurated Tuesday at Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. The show, which is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors amid growing interest by car dealers and visitors, is being held with the support of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation and a strategic partnership with Alahli Bank. EXCS witnessed a quantum leap in terms of number of visitors and level of participation, including a large number of carmakers regional office managers, who followed closely the unveiling of more than 10 new models for the first time in the Middle East. Among the many cars unveiled were the all-new Bentley Bentayga SUV, which appears for the first time in the Middle East through Alghassan Motors, exclusive dealer of Bentley cars in Saudi Arabia. The show also witnessed the official launch of the super sports car, Ferrari 488 GTB, the fascinating all new BMW 7 series, and the remarkable model Audi Q7 SUV, which was launched through the stand of SAMACO, the exclusive dealer for Audi cars in Saudi Arabia. In this outstanding edition, the show also witnessed to two surprises from Alghassan Motors, where they showcased super sports, Lamborghini GT3, plus the super sports McLaren 570s. Meanwhile, Jaguar Land Rover showcased Jaguar XF and Jaguar XE, plus two limited editions of Range Rover (Arabia Edition). Chairman of the National Automotive Committee for car dealers in Saudi Arabia Faisal Abo Shoshah expressed his delight with the continued success of the Luxury Motor Show (EXCS) over the past eight years. He said: "The show is the pride of the organizing company, and stresses the Saudi market need for such a show, which offers a great opportunity for luxury car dealers always close to their clients in a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere that matches their distinctive cars." He added:" We expect high demand on these luxury cars as manufacturers keep offering high levels of luxury and advanced technology." Meanwhile, Abdullah Alshamasi, CEO of EXCS, expressed his delight for the high levels of participation, where EXCS has become an unprecedented event in the Middle East, and became comparable to the most important international motor shows. He underscored the importance of the show as a prestigious platform for introducing new luxury models to the Saudi market, which clearly reflected in the unveiling of 11 new models for the first time in Saudi Arabia. He added: "Since the first year of organizing the Luxury Motor Show (EXCS), we aimed at reaching a high level of organization to attract top manufacturers of luxury car brands, thanks to God for achieving this goal. Next year we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of "EXCS" in Jeddah." During the opening event of the show, three cars were announced as winners of best car awards in different categories at EXCS, including Ferrari 488 GTB (Best Super Sports Car), Audi Q7 (Best Luxury 4x4 car), and Infiniti Q70 (Best Luxury Sedan).
