Huawei affirms strength of KSA channel partner
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 21 - 10 - 2015

IN affirmation of its commitment to developing the ICT landscape for enterprises in Saudi Arabia, Huawei signed Monday a joint MOU at GITEX Technology Week outlining Gulf Applications (GAPP) as an Authorized Distributor and Sale Advanced as its Authorized Reseller in the Kingdom.
The MoU "Memorandum of Understanding" outlines how both partners will offer Huawei's wide range of connectivity solutions to the end users in the SME and commercial business sector in addition to offering post-sales professional services and support.
As authorized partners, GAPP and Sale Advanced will have access to the latest sales tools and knowledge from Huawei's dedicated Channel development team, which will empower them to offer tailored solutions for their clients across Saudi Arabia. Both partners will be showcasing Huawei's product portfolio of connectivity technologies such as its SMB solution Router, Switches, WiFi solutions, IPT, CCTV and Video Conferencing services.
Both GAPP and Sale Advanced have agreed to develop a collaborative approach, using the distribution and resale of Huawei's solutions can be implemented effectively across their wide channel network in the Kingdom. Both of their vast experience ensures they are well-positioned to provide cutting-edge technology solutions to help enterprises in Saudi Arabia maintain their competitive edge and be more innovative.
With over 25 years' experience distributing ICT technologies and solutions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; GAPP understands the complexities of working within the local market. As Huawei authorized distributor in the country, GAPP will provide stock hardware for Huawei and provide post sales to end users, including implementation and service support.
Bandar Al Frieh, Chairman of Gulf Applications, said: "After developing our expertise over 25 years in Saudi Arabia, we recognize that our local customers demand greater flexibility from their ICT solutions that can drive bottom line savings. This MOU partnership helps us to work with our customers to provide the best possible tailored enterprise solutions. As Huawei's local distributor we will not only import its technologies but will also offer after sales services to customers solving their technical issues. We look forward to learning from Huawei's specialized training initiatives that will help us better sell its converged ICT solutions to our enterprise customer network."
Sale Advanced is the commercial resale arm of Telecommunications provider Saudi Telecom Company (STC), extending its operations throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. With over 4,000 employees, Sale Advanced provides operational ICT services through its partners to over 15,000 clients in the enterprise sector. SALE Co will utilize its established sales channels to sell connectivity bundles of Huawei's technologies, exploring new opportunities and ventures in mutual collaboration with GAPP.
"The MOU agreement to be an authorized reseller for Huawei in Saudi Arabia is an affirmation of our strength in distributing ICT solutions amongst SME enterprise organizations across the Kingdom", said the CEO of Sale Advanced Eng. Suleiman Ahmed Alzahrani. "We are confident that our trained and qualified resources will be able to offer Huawei's tailored communication technologies to enterprises and drive successful implementations in coordination with GAPP."
In the enterprise ICT domain, Huawei's market strategy is to focus on close co-operation and integration with partners to deliver a wide range of highly efficient, customer-centric solutions based on a deep understanding of customer needs. Since launching its renewed strategy earlier this year, Huawei has worked to extend its network, partnering with best-of-breed providers in KSA.
Hany Hussein, Channel Vice President for Huawei Enterprise Middle East, said: "Both GAPP and Sale Advanced are great additions to our channel partner network due to their excellent track records of delivering cutting-edge ICT solutions to companies in Saudi Arabia. We are dedicated to offering our partners the right tools, training and expertise that will empower them to grow our ICT offering in the region and help shape the Saudi Arabian enterprise landscape, driving further adoption of innovative emerging technology."
A core element of Huawei's channel strategy involves building upon the strength of its partner network in Saudi Arabia, extending the availability of specialized training and technical knowledge transfer, which empower its partners to identify new opportunities for growth. These initiatives ensure that partners are equipped with the knowledge necessary to showcase how Huawei's solutions can offer greater flexibility, drive efficiency and reduce capex and opex for businesses.
"This three-way collaborative working agreement is mutually beneficial and will enable both GAPP and Sale Advanced with the knowledge and expertise to extend our range of connectivity technologies to SMEs and commercial organizations across the Kingdom," Hany added.
